WHAT IS THE OPERATING PHILOSOPHY OF THE FIRM?

Epsen Fuller | IMD is a boutique firm with multiple offices and global capabilities, state-of-the-art search management technology (SMT), and an extensive network within our chosen industry sectors. Our operational philosophy and practice stresses that each client assignment is executed with a "dedicated team" approach, focusing the time, energy and resources necessary to achieve a highly successful outcome.

We are careful not to take on too many clients. We work closely with our clients, essentially becoming an extension of their organization, and treat that responsibility with the respect and diligence it deserves. HOW MANY YEARS EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE?

The professionals of Epsen Fuller | IMD have over 50 years combined experience in executive search consulting. In addition, we have significant experience on the "operating side" of industry, giving us a unique ability to assess business situations and provide solutions to our clients based on experience.

RATE YOUR PERFORMANCE - What is your average completion time, search success ratio and time to deliver a slate of qualified candidates?

The objective at Epsen Fuller | IMD is to complete every search within 90 days and our past performance tells us this is realistic. Firm wide, our completion ratio is 92%, while some of the largest and best-known firms report completion rates at or below 70 percent; our time-to-complete is running 87 days, and our time-to-finalist (the elapsed time from the start of the search to the time we introduce the candidate that ultimately is hired) is running 47 days. We believe that these statistics are at least on par with the very best boutique firms and significantly better that the mega-firms.

We adopt a "Failure is NOT an Option" mission statement to ensure the best possible hire is accomplished. This is the driving reason why more than 94% of our clients come back to us for additional assignments.

We understand the ebb and flow of corporate life and, hence, we can provide you with the guidance, counsel and support necessary to adapt to these changes. Regardless of the complexities of the search, we apply the same energy and resources to make certain that the results are successful. We attract only the highest caliber individuals with the demonstrated accomplishments to be a true leader and visionary in our clients' environment.

Above all, we are thorough, thoughtful and flexible. We do not make extravagant promises; we deliver performance with objectivity, intelligence and insight. This is accomplished by building close, long-term, strategic alliances with clients and candidates; blending trustworthiness and reliable professionalism with innovation, resourcefulness and urgency in solving even the most demanding search challenges; monitoring and measuring each discreet step of the search process; and providing exceptional service to industry leaders in ground breaking ways.

WHAT IS YOUR FEE STRUCTURE?

Our professional service fee is 331/3% of the first year's estimated compensation. An optional "flat fee" arrangement that is not dependent on the final compensation may be determined prior to the beginning of the assignment. In either case, we have a minimum fee of $50,000 (equivalent to a $150,000 total annual compensation). Our standard retainer schedule calls for three (3) equal payments, each representing one-third of the fee. The first retainer is payable upon engagement, the second at thirty (30) days, and the third at sixty (60) days.

Further, we do not use expenses as a "hidden profit center". Rather, we invoice expenses to cover administrative costs related to the search, e.g., research, telephone, mailings, couriers, local travel and off-site interview expenses etc., at the nominal rate of $950 per month for the first ninety (90) days. Directly related candidate and consultant long distance travel, video conferencing, psychological/behavioral testing or other extraordinary expenses are billed at cost.

DO YOU HAVE A GUARANTEE?

An important piece of our relationship with our clients includes our guarantees. Epsen Fuller | IMD guarantees the selected candidate for a period of one (1) year and will replace the candidate should (s)he leave the employ or be terminated with cause within that time.

Further, we agree to an "off-limits" policy to not recruit from the client organization or its affiliates for a two-year (2) period.

It follows that there is no task more urgent than to find and keep the best men and women to enable an organization to grow and prosper.
