IMD International Search Group Meets in Helsinki
Appoints Three New Board Members

Helsinki, Finland and New York, NY (May 1, 2009) – IMD International Search Group, one of the world’s leading executive search organizations, recently held its annual partner’s conference, entitled “Sustaining a People Advantage in Turbulent Times” in Helsinki, Finland.

Representatives from 28 countries discussed strategies and met with key clients in meetings focused on building and sustaining a significant talent advantage throughout their organization.  Through the key trusted relationships with IMD International’s search consultants, clients can tap into new and creative people strategies to build and sustain business momentum.

“Companies are complex social systems that require clarity of purpose…and guidance.  Those that create a people advantage will race ahead of their competitors. While all companies are facing challenges greater than ever before, so too are they able to capitalize on opportunities for companies to excel through people strategies,” commented Tom Fuller, IMD Board Director and general managing partner of Epsen Fuller/IMD, based in New York.

“This is an area where a close partnership with a search consultant can create value beyond the search transaction,” he continued. “Companies that can meet these challenges head on will build and sustain a competitive people advantage.”

IMD International’s expertise in enabling clients to build this advantage is clearly valued as witnessed by their year-over-year performance, which far surpasses the industry norms recently reported by the AESC, Association of Executive Search Consultants.  “While the AESC 1st quarter reports indicate much of the executive search industry is experiencing significant, double digit, revenue shortfall relative to 2008 figures, IMD International’s revenue is down only slightly relative to our peers, just 10% from last year.” commented Albert Hiribarrondo, IMD Board President and partner of SIRCA, based in Paris, France.

New Board Announced:  At the meeting, three new board members were appointed as directors at large for a two-year term; Matthias Mohr of Dr. Heimeier & Partner – Germany, Gerard Ketelaar of Quaestus – Netherlands, and Katsusuke Yokota of Human Associates – Japan.  They will serve with current board members Albert Hiribarrondo, Board President and Partner of  Sirca - France; Tom Fuller, Board VP Americas and General Managing Partner of Epsen Fuller/IMD - US; Sherilyn Shackell, Board VP Europe and CEO of Highfield Human Solutions – UK, and Dr. Peter Sutter, Board Treasure - Austria.
